We’re happy to present the Mailfence Release Notes for April 2026 with several improvements and fixes.

Mobile app
Regarding the Mobile app, the Mailfence Release Notes for April 2026 includes the following bug fixes and improvements:
- Messages
- Added “Send Again” action on messages.
- Added support for your “Display Mode” preferences.
- Added fallback values for message flags and OutOfOffice state.
- Added error alert when moving a message to a folder fails.
- Added “View Source” action on messages.
- Added setting to require confirmation before opening external links.
- Added better indications of exceeded and almost exceeded subscription limits.
- Fixed issue with folder sorting after folder creation.
- Fixed issue where partial iCalendar data would sometimes cause an error.
- Fixed some issues with email rendering and improved it overall.
- Fixed date formatting issue in event invitations.
- Meeting invitations can now be responded to directly from your messages.
- Opened and closed folders will now be remembered when moving a message or selecting a template.
- Calendars
- Recurring events can now properly be deleted one by one or all instances at once.
- Added support for viewing and managing your calendar and other people’s calendars.
- Fixed an issue where adding a group calendar or a group member’s calendar was offered to users without a group.
- Documents
- Added support for Drop folder.
- Contacts
- Fixed issue where “Call” and “Send Text” buttons were sometimes erroneously disabled.
- Settings
- Fixed issue with the “after move” and “display mode” settings in the “Settings > Mail > General” screen.
- Added support for managing account settings, email, calendars, contacts, and documents.
- Fixed issue with scrolling in Away message screen.
- Security
- Added external link opening confirmation when clicking on a URL in a message.
- Improved the security of webviews (rendering emails, composition, HTML editor for signature and away message). These changes block access to sensitive data and methods even in the case of an XSS that would allow an attacker to fully control the JavaScript of the webview.
- Added Content Security Policy (CSP) to webviews, preventing access to remote domains, which will prevent data exfiltration in the event an attacker gets full JavaScript control of the webview.
- Added a login error message prompting users to sign in with their primary address.

- Added support for monochrome and themeable app icons.
- Reduced app startup time.
- Improved tablet device detection.
- Added banners in case the user’s message sending or storage quotas are exceeded or close to be exceeded.
- Added support for German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
- Improved error and warning messages for disabled accounts.
- Improved user interface when offline.
- Miscellaneous improvements made to German, English, and Dutch translations.
- The app now remembers which folders are expanded or collapsed when moving a message or selecting a template.

Extra comments regarding Mailfence Release Notes April 2026
- Mobile App: Redesign of login system: you now need to login with your full email address.
- Fax support was removed (April 2025).
- Jabber/XMPP notifications were removed (November 2025).
- Skype support was removed (August 2025).
- Russian language support was removed (August 2025).
- A security bug affecting the chat.mailfence.com support service was fixed following a report submitted by Ahmad Yussef. We thank the reporter for notifying us.
